This is a two-level room with comfortable queen, and a cozy double bed. The Freedom Chamberlain Room sleeps four people comfortably. Just across the hall is a large bathroom with a deep soaking tub and shower. In the early 1800's the land on which the Lake House stands was owned by Freedom Chamberlain who lived in one of the log houses built by the original French settlers. Often this room was used by the previous owners of the Lake House to reside over the shore-side property.

This cozy room overlooks Canadarago Lake and has a queen size bed. In the days of Prohibition when the heat was on in N.Y.C. and Albany Jack "Legs" Diamond and his gang would retreat to the reletive obscurity of this Upstate region making the Lake House his center of operation. During this period, two rooms were added upstairs so the lookouts could watch the road from the North and South. In the basement, evidence of fake walls still exist and a recent renovation covered a trap door in the floor connecting the first floor and the basement. Often times it is fun to sit around and wonder what went on here in the past as the trap door served as an escape route as well as a way to move the liquor quickly.
